
On February 15th, The Carrollton, a new retirement community in Uptown New Orleans, was inaugurated at the historic site of the former Carrollton Courthouse (701 Carrollton Avenue) by Felicity Property Company and Liberty Senior Living. This revamped space, spanning roughly 100,000 square feet, now offers 73 Assisted Living and 20 Memory Care apartments, each with a private bath.
The over 160-year-old Greek Revival building, initially designed by Henry Howard in 1855, has transitioned from being home to several schools, including Benjamin Franklin High School and Audubon Charter School, to its current use. Today, The Carrollton provides Assisted Living and Memory Care services, complemented by enrichment programs and restaurant-style dining.
