Painting With Renea

At The Carrollton New Orleans, creativity comes in many forms, and sometimes it comes from unexpected places. The community’s team members have interests and hobbies that extend well beyond their everyday roles, and The Carrollton loves giving them opportunities to share those talents with residents by directing programs and activities.

One example is Painting With Renea, led by Renea’ Verrett, The Carrollton’s director of human resources and an abstract mixed media artist. Her hands-on class invites residents to explore color, texture and self-expression while creating one-of a-kind artwork. No art experience is needed.

Each session offers a chance to experiment, connect with friends and let imagination take the lead. “The joy,” Renea says, “is in the creating.”

Best of all, participants leave with a unique masterpiece to display in their apartment. It is creativity, connection and a chance to discover a hidden artistic side.
