A Beignet Bonanza

Imagine waking up in the morning to the aroma of fresh beignets and coffee.

Residents of The Carrollton New Orleans didn’t have to use their imagination as Activity Coordinator Dwayne Walker created that exact experience, preparing fresh beignets and hot coffee for a morning event.

The team at The Carrollton frequently brings the best of New Orleans’ celebrated food culture into the community, giving residents opportunities to enjoy local specialties within their own home.

As residents savored their beignets and coffee, and listened to the music of Louis Armstrong, they also compared the New Orleans favorite fare with similar treats from around the world including zeppole in Italy, and sopaipillas in Spain. In reality though, there’s no fair comparison to the beignet.
